       IMPORTANT
Things to keep in mind when preparing for your move:

1) Check weather ahead of time. We are not responsible if it rains, and we must continue the move. We will try to protect you items as best as we can. We also try to stay flexible so that we can accomadate you.

2) Be prepared for a time delay, or early arrival. Let us know a head of time if you need your time needs to be exact and we will try to accomadate you by scheduling you with more time between each move.

3) Always have your phone near you during the day. We keep our clients posted and will notify you if we are going to be more than 15 minutes early or late.

4) Try to pack most things in boxes or totes. This saves time but most importantly, it keeps things organized when stacked in a truck therefore keeping them safer, less likely to move around.

5) Lable boxes thoroughly. Atleast number them accordingly (bedroom 1, bedroom 2 etc). This helps the unloading process by knowing exactly where everything goes.

6) In selecting a time for your move, keep in mind that the only gaurenteed time that we have is the first move scheduled for the day (usually 7am or 8am). We tend to schedule "tight" moves during our busy season and due to our really low prices we schedule one move right after the next. Under extreme circumstances we may arrive late but we will always let you know. Please inform us if you are on a time crunch and we will accomadate you.

7) Pack heavy items in heavy duty boxes.

8) Pack light items with fragile items. Be sure to label every box that is fragile, on as many sides as possible.

9) Do not pack Fragile items in large heavy boxes because these boxes must be on the bottom of stacks.

Save Money Moving Locally

As a local moving company, there are many things you can do to help save yourself money. Most moving companies are charging you a pretty hefty hourly rate and will do whatever it takes to tack up the bill. Many people call me and let me know that they are on a strict budget and would like to save as much money as possible. I give them a few suggestions.

First of all, be sure to be fully packed and ready to go on the day of move. This will make the move go as fast as possible and will not let the guys roaming around trying to figure out what to grab. For things that are not packed, it takes more trips for movers to take these items to the truck therefore leading to more time. Also, the more you are willing to do yourself will result in less billing time. The little things like pictures, lamps, vases, etc take up large amounts of time.

Dissassemble furniture yourself. This keeps movers from grabbing tools and spending time trying to figure out how something comes apart. Although a good mover can take apart furniture pretty quickly, it still takes some time for this. Its really quick to just grab items to load. Also, this gives you more room to store your packing boxes when waiting for the movers to arrive.

Feel free to call G&M Haulers Moving Company, your local movers at 979-324-6617 for more useful tips to save money or on getting ready for your move.

Whether you're moving across town or across the country, professional Bryan Movers are always available and happy to help. With their extensive experience and a multitude of satisfied customers already, you can be sure you're putting your precious valuables in the right hands. Your local Bryan Movers have an excellent driving record and a history of handling jobs carefully.

Bryan Movers Will Pack Up

Skilled Bryan Movers can do more than just port your personal effects from Point A to Point B. If you need assistance packing, they're happy to jump in and start filling boxes, and you know they have the professional foresight to know exactly how to do it. In addition, Bryan Movers can supply boxes, packing tape, and other moving supplies at a cheaper rate than your local stores.

Your local food stores might offer boxes for free, but they are no where near as sturdy as actual moving boxes. Getting used boxes from local stores might save you a few dollars but the savings will pale if you reach your destination with broken belongings. Professional Bryan Movers have a full supply of flattened boxes straight from the factory, which they're happy to provide.

Some of the boxes offered by the Bryan Movers are custom designed for specific tasks. For example, tall boxes with a bar at the top are meant for transporting the clothes hanging in your closet. Boxes designed to transport dishes are often more square than regular packing boxes. Mirror boxes are long and slim, with an interior cushion layer to protect the glass. Many Bryan Movers may offer a specialized office tote, which is designed to carry folder files and has a lifting lid for easy access.

Bryan Movers Can Handle Difficult Jobs

Some items, like large appliances (stoves and refrigerators), can pose a challenge while moving. If you're moving your fridge, the Bryan Movers recommend emptying and unplugging it at least 24 hours prior to your move. Donate or give away your perishable food, and place a stocking stuffed with charcoal, fresh ground coffee, or baking soda in each separate compartment. These will absorb unpleasant odors, keeping your fridge and freezer smelling fresh for your new home.

You should disconnect computers, stereos, and other small electronics from all their component parts, and pack them together as much as possible. The Bryan Movers may ask you to plug these items in to ensure they're working prior to the move. This is for the protection of both parties - if your belongings get damaged, they need to be sure they were in proper working condition to begin with.

Professional Bryan Movers will probably use bungee cords or custom-designed belts to secure large appliances inside the moving truck. Because the purpose of these belts is to hold appliances securely against the inner walls of the truck, you needn’t be concerned that they might slip or shift around while in transit.

Hit the Road with Bryan Movers

The most important part of the moving effort is the truck, which safely transports all of your belongings from your current home to your new one. Professional Bryan Movers ensure your truck is the right size, with plenty of room for all your personal effects.

The right truck size will help reduce mileage costs and finish your trip as fast as possible. So it is very important to choose the correct size. Ideally, you shouldn't need to make more than two trips to carry all your belongings. With reliable Bryan Movers to pack your possessions efficiently, this goal should be easy to meet. They will not only packing items in a space-saving and planned manner per box, but also packing the truck as tightly as possible.

If your belongings don't quite fill the back of the truck, your Bryan Movers will use a belt or bungee cord to secure your boxes against the back of the truck. It's important that none of your furniture or boxes slide into one another or shift when turning corners. Your Bryan Movers are experts at this work. They intuitively understand that it is necessary to position heavy items on the floor, and place more fragile boxes gently on top. And they are expert drivers.

Moving with Bryan Movers

You should contact the Bryan Movers several weeks or even a few months prior to your move, to make sure they'll be able to help you on that date. The best way to move quickly and easily is to be prepared before it's necessary. Pre-pack large or delicate items, and try to have everything packed and ready to load long before the movers arrive. Being prepared will save you both time and money, because you won’t be rushing to collect up items at the last minute. You’ll find the move will go much smoother and the crew from Bryan Movers will appreciate you making their job easier.

If you know you need to move soon but you dread doing all the work, contact your local Bryan Movers today. They’ll be happy to supply you with an estimate and all the encouragement, support, and advice you'll need to get from your old home to your new one. Let the professional Bryan Movers prove that you really can take it with you!
